Cny Day 2, 3 and 4!

Hình ảnh
Back to blogging the rest of my CNY celebration (when I know CNY is long past more than a month ago)! It's a continuation of what I've blog  here  though, so do read it if you have not done so. CNY Day 2 was our only rest day for the whole of the long cny weekend break, no visiting or whatsoever, just simply resting :) We were also busy prepping the house for the steamboat session the very next day and also the food. Derp and I went for a quick run around the park and was greeted with this beautiful sunset. Nothing new but it always amaze me because most of the time they look different from the previous one I saw.  A need to burn some calories after all the eating during the CNY period. Ran quite slow that day though lol. We went home and prepare a simple dinner for ourselves... Home kong style pan fried fish :)  Our hong baos collected for the whole of CNY period. Still feeling much loved from relatives and my close cousins. CNY Day 3 started by heading to Ikea. W...

My Tribute to our Founding Father, Mr Lee Kuan Yew

Hình ảnh
My company gave us time off from 3pm onwards to pay our last respect to Mr Lee Kua Yew at the Parliament House on Thursday and Friday.  My colis and I reckoned it's a wiser choice to go on Thursday even though it would means feeling really tired to go back to work on Friday. We can;t really gauge what's the waiting hour as it keeps on changing back then. But all is worth it just to bid goodbye to Mr LKY. The queue started from Padang on Thursday. But before we reached the actual queue, the crowd was too overwhelming and everyone has to loop several rounds around the war memorial park (opposite Suntec) just to get to the actual Suntec.  I was separated with 2 of my other coli when there's this sudden road opening to the opposite road heading to Padang (a definitely much shorter way). It was a one time thingy to solve the bottleneck at the under pass to cross over to join the queue.  The crowd heading towards Padang. Once you know you manage to cross, it's like you are re...

Remembering Mr Lee Kuan Yew

I was only Primary Six when my mum bought this book for me. I've totally no idea why she got it for me (perhaps I bug her too many times) but I told her I just want to have it. Till date, it's still one of the precious books around though the pages have all turned yellow. I may not be born in the era which he was governing but to be living in the era which is enjoying his and his team of comrades who fought hard for our fruits of labour. To be honest, I don't really know who he was when I was young and only came across him in our history textbooks. It was a compulsory subject being taught in school and topics covered were the keypoints of merger and separation, implementation of NS, HDB and etc. Basically all the basics you need to know about Singapore are being taught. I'm glad I did pretty well back then and history was one of my favorite subjects. But how many of these points did we ever give a deep thought to it? For most of us, it was just touch and go. We just ...

The Weekly Wrap

Hình ảnh
Well, this week did not go as planned!  On Monday, I awoke feeling rested, well, and ready to start the week. I was even up early, so I sipped on a cup of Dunkin Donuts bakery flavored coffee and watched a few episodes of Forensic Files.  When I got up to get ready for work, I made sure my hair was extra pretty for the day so I could take a picture of my new highlights. I went super dark back in January, and I absolutely love(d) it; but it faded so fast-- as dark usually does with my hair. I do not want to keep darkening it thus I decided to go with highlights and start the process of going back blonde. Around 10 AM, I started getting really nauseous. I endured some pretty rough side effects from a medicine I am on, over the weekend, but I thought that was over, so I was unsure why I was feeling so bad. Ten minutes after I started feeling bad, I threw up (TMI? Oh well). Afterwards, I felt better so I thought it was still just a side effects since I had been feeling bad over th...

Basi Thai Kitchen (By Thai Express) @ Kallang Wave Mall

Hình ảnh
Derp and I went to Kallang Wave Mall not long ago to collect my race pack for Venus Run (which I will be blogging about it really soon!). It was our first time there and the place is simply impressive. In the past we used to run past there pretty often during our races. The whole place was filled of construction! Many places were sealed up and we totally could not see what's going on with the whole area, other than knowing they were building the new National Stadium.  Now that the place is ready for quite sometime, we had a clearer view of what went on for the past few years and there's this new mall called the Kallang Wave Mall which is linked to the National Stadium! I did some google-ing prior to heading there so as to know what's there and also what's for lunch!  #OOTD that day to collect racepack. Wearing back my favourite romper from Fayth. We decided to dine in @ Basi Thai Kitchen since we still miss BKK that much. Thai food FTW! Me love anything that do wi...
